Is that what they're calling them now?
In my day they were "big tittied goth chicks"
Though I suppose fewer women have a big bust these days. " A-cup goth chicks" just doesn't sound as good, does it?
But I digress.
Yes, if they have personalities as "alt" as their dress scene, then boys will find them interesting.
As long as we're talking "cool and out there," interesting, and not "pegging the neighbours dad on weekends, stalking her ex on week days" interesting.
Most Helpful Opinions
I find them to be more open minded. More “themselves”. Not if they’re “scene” though, because then they’re just conforming to something else. They miss the point. They’re trying too hard.
But if you’re just yourself and into alternative things, it says to me that you’re into things that are a bit more niche, which means you’re using your brain. You’re seeking out and finding things that appease you, and your uniqueness. You’re thinking a bit more about the world around you.
You might play along with what the common belief is or do what’s popular, where and when you have to, to further yourself, but there’s way more below the surface in what makes us, us.
What Guys Said
Why would most guys be interested in girls who go to great lengths to make themselves as unattractive as possible? Their appearance is their personal statement of "fuck you" to the world. Why would a guy want to deal with such anger and detachment?
Alternative fashion fashion that, at least at one time, stood apart from mainstream commercial fashion. Alternative fashion includes the fashions of specific subcultures such as emo, scene, goth subculture, hip-hop, heavy metal fashion, cyberpunk, and lolita fashion; however, it is not limited to these. In general, alternative, or 'alt', fashion does not conform to widely popular style trends of the times that have widespread popularity. It may exhibit itself as a fringe style – extremely attention-grabbing and more artistic than practical – but it can also develop from anti-fashion sentiments that focus on simplistic utilitarian drives (e. g.: grunge fashion, which was largely based around comfort and availability).
There are guys includong myself you like women that dress in some form of alternative style. I like goth, rockabilly, metal, punk, rave, cybergoth stes on women. I ike wild hair styles and colors.Yes, kind of my favorite actually. I love the emo, goth or alt girls. I also like tomboys, not to be confused with the "trailertrash" look.
I dont much car for the "popular" instagram model look, Kim Kardashian looks flat out bad to me.I think they look kinda hot, but like everything it’s a personal preference thing. Besides, just wait 5-10 years, you rarely see a woman in her 30’s to 40’s dressed like this. A lot of the time it’s a rebellious, rage against the machine, phase. I WON’T CONFORM TO SOCIETY! Then ten years later they’ve got a mini van doing the school run and #lovebeingasoccermom.
It depends on what her personality is. Personally, I think being emo and such can be cute, however, if she acts creepy at all, I'm out.
Basically, you have to rock your look. Any look can be rocked, and any look can... not... be rocked. If the look fits the girl and her personality, 👍, but if it seems forced (or she seems batshit), then I don't know... I probably wouldn't like her.I absolutely do. I love their style and fashion. I already dated alt girls, and damn would again.
However, I do think that most guys don't actually like this style on girls. I'm a metalhead, and most of my metalhead friends like alt girls, but I wouldn't say my non-metalhead friends do all that much.Personally, I am mostly attracted to alt girls for the domination/submission (non-sexual) aspects, their looks come in second. Honestly, the whole aesthetic pulls at my soul, and calls to my inner alt boy. Nowadays, as is the case with lesbians and sluts (for want of better word), their is a large amount of fakes who just partake in activities to draw men in, and that makes it hard to differentiate between the real alt girls and the attention seekers.
The problem with "alt" is that it basically means "anything but mainstream"
So yes, but someone who likes the goth look won't necessarily like punk, someone who likes the metal head look might not be into the emo look.
I mean you see guys dressed "alt" if they didn't like the style they wouldn't dress that way right?Ever heard of actual feminine and classy women. Now compare those to these freaks. You think any self respecting man would glance at a chick that visually screams "I am damaged"? In other words: HELL NO.
Costumes generally don't move me one way or the other. As long as there is mutual physical attraction, sexual compatibility, and no glaring personality conflicts we'll be fine.
