Why does he make plans and then cancel on me?

I’ve been seeing this guy on and off since the summer. He was really keen at first, going out of his way to spend time with me. He was thoughtful and always brought me presents, and then further down the line I noticed he wasn’t making as much effort. In the end we slept together a few times, and then he travelled to see me and we had sex for a few weeks. Then since he got back home, he’s been really cold and distant with me. The last time I spoke with him he was really cut off from me, and I tried to hug him and he wasn’t as responsive to any contact. Then he recently made another plan to have me stay over at his, (I didn’t initiate) and then cancelled it last minute.

i feel really messed around. What should I do?

Learn the lesson that LDR's are a complete waste of time. Figure he's got another girl at wherever he's from and he's busy with her. You're the backup plan, the side chick.

The bigger question really, is why are you so desperate? Find a guy you can actually SEE and BE WITH. You'll get WAY more out of it.

In life men should be the ones chasing you but in this case it seems like you’re chasing him. You need to relax. If he wants you he can come get you. Don’t text him, don’t say anything. Girl don’t even wait, he needs to text you. You should go find some activity you might enjoy.

Guys don’t like desperate girls, they’ll get bored easily. You putting all your energy, hugging him making him feel special makes you seem desperate. By making him feel special is what all the other girls do, you wanna be the one who stands out.

He seems to be losing interest—maybe he’s found another girl, is stressed, or simply have other things going on in his life. It sucks but you have to quit contacting him a while. Be cool and distant. If he likes you he will notice and chase you again.
