I dont feel any difference as i am not openly atheist. I have never had anyone bother me or anything like that. People here are laid back. As long as i dont trash islam in front of them no one ask any questions. I left islam because i read a book called the origin of species. And another book about psychology. That mentioned that emotions are there to protect us (like anger and sadness) and in Islam god has emotions (he gets angry and sad...) so that made me reach a conclusion that Islam had many errors and parts that dont make sense.

@Holisticapproachsara Same reason I turned away from Catholicism. A lot of things didn't make sense. Like you can kill 20 people and still get to heaven by repenting. There's also a lot of stuff in the Bible that doesn't make sense. Let's just say I believe in science more and that there seems to be no evidence of God's existence, unless he is deliberately punishing his believers.
Also, my entire view on religion changed after visiting a polytheistic country. If Christian god is real, why can't Hindu or Daoist gods be real?
I also don't believe Allah is the same as Christian god

I know, its like the only reason some people remain religious is that they dont see the irrationality from how much they were exposed to it from an early age. Its scary honestly.
