When I hear the term "high value man" it is often used in the context of a man with power and status. A very wealthy man who can get any woman he wants and as many women he wants. He is hypersexual and often handsome too (perhaps in his late 20s to 30s), well dressed, suave, a womanizer. Think 50 shades of grey or 365's Massimo. Every woman dreams of him. He is at the top of the desirability pyramid.365 days' MassimoHOWEVER, this widespread idea of a "high value man" really DOES NOT fit my personal idea of an actual "high value" man. To me these types of men are highly unrelatable. Moreover they barely exist in real life and are mostly the product Hollywoodian fantasy since most actual men with power and status are on the older side and often don't look like these Hollywood studs.
Furthermore, with LOTS of power also comes abuse. I feel like these men are not faithful most of the time. And they are often borderline creepy (Eg Epstein). I think a high value man is a hardworking, family oriented man who is loyal. Simple as. A middle class "Average Joe" who possesses these qualities is to me a high value man.
What's a "high value man"? Does your idea of a High value man fit the image spread by Hollywood and social media?

It is not up to me to define a high value man. I am who I am and if a woman is attracted to that then we'll talk.
I could take the feminist approach and demand that parents teach their daughters to respect all men, blah blah blah. People like who they like and if they believe that they can do better then they will hold out for that. There are A LOT of young girls who will crash and burn when they turn 33-35 and realize that they will never get the man that they were told they could get. Many will stay single. Some will adjust their standards to guys they rejected 10 years before hand. Others will heroically become single mothers... I would like to warn men of the women in this age range because some of them will only marry you to pay for their children. Keep your eyes open and get a paternity test.
The system is failing and I place them blame on feminism. Feminism discourages male/female relationships. It tells girls to go out and conquer the business world and then when you're the CFO you can chose the high value male of your choice and have a family.
Their are many problems with that "promise" and most of them ignore the truth about men and what THEY want.

If the question is what makes a man high value or whether or not many women prefer older men, looks are not the primary factor.

The first is physical health (beauty) as it is an indicator of sperm viability. The second is the ability to provide resources. For hunter gatherers that ability peaks in a man's 20s or 30s. In modern times that translates to earning pitential, which peaks in a man's 40s or 50s. It then goes on to explain that there are other factors that may have more influence on selection.

Most 30 something yr old women are not interested in men past 40. But often times, women do settle for guys in their early 40s when they can't get anyone else. Neither of those statistics can be used to show 'not many' because it is just a range for the mean. There are a few other issues. -What make a man Older? A percentage, a specific number of years? Does it change based on the age of the younger person? -How many is Not Many? -We don't have complete data. We need to see the distribution of data to be able to isolate age ranges.

High Value Men are elite players, usually making at the absolute lowest, $500K/ per year. They also have power and influence and are usually between 45 and 55 years old. A HVM can be an evil man or a good man. A HVM can be immoral or amoral. High value defines his status, power and influence. Stalin was a HVM. So was FDR. Trump is a HVM and so is Biden. @Levin its hard when you are really both those things. I was raised mostly by my grandparents who were born in the 20's. It's hard to remove the outdated thinking that's been programmed into my brain. They meant well but the times have rapidly changed from the time they were kids to the current times. You can't really find a lady anymore. You can find chicks for days. But you aren't finding ladies that haven't been passed around guy to guy at the night clubs for years and years. It's like they have no consideration for the guys they expect to get or themselves.
Though its impossible to not be influenced by external issues, I prefer to make my judgments based on a value that a workforce places on him. I haven't met many but I have met a few of what would probably be "high value women". Usually beautiful with enough family or trust fund $ to keep her in high fashion. They often have impeccable style but if your status come from what someone else places on you- and it happens, beautiful women don't do it as often as men because their egos don't tend to be as big but if a woman or man is desirable because of something that was inherited or based on good choices and luck, then it can be - and often is- taken away and the beautiful woman who has cultivated beauty as her sole trump card and a man that places his salary as a trump card then if it's taken away the value is lost more quickly than driving your brand new car off the lot.
All data has shown that women - aside from the obvious genetical attractivity - are attracted to status and ressources.
The kicker is that what status and ressource mean can differ from woman to woman. Doesn't make the initial concept less true, but leaves room for individual interpretation. For example status can mean money, power, intelligence, highly skilled in a particular field, big social circle, etc.
Furthermore data has shown that women are also attracted to personality traits that predict life success rather than purely having that success already. Hard-working is the obvious one here. So is intelligence. So a man working hard and being intelligent is eventually more attractive than some lazy bum with a big inheritance. That being said - having success usually implies those attributes that lead to success being existent.
Yes, Trump and Biden are both HVM's, according to the definition. The have money and power and influence. Where they land on your moral compass is not a requirement. Pol Pot and Stalin were HVM's.
"Your truth" is irrelevant. You cannot arbitrarily change the definitions of things because you don't like it. High value has nothing to do with morality or character. It has to do with money, power and influence. You don't have to like Trump or anybody else, but he is a HVM. And be relieved, he doesn't know nor give a shit about you.
If it's subjective then the words have no meaning. Everything you say by default has no meaning because I can arbitrarily assign meaning to you words. This is why this type of postmodernist thought falls flat on its face. It's circular reasoning. You cannot change the definition of things because you don't like what they mean. You don't like that it means what it means, tough shit. That's what it means. And you cannot go around in the world making things up, you have to face *the truth* someday. 'Your truth' aka your opinion, doesn't mean shit to anybody else.

Well I can't speak for women's ideals of a "high value man" but I consider a high value man to be one that follows the golden rule (treats people how he wants to be treated), is confident in himself, and knows what he wants in life. Being rich, having/owning material possessions, having high social status and power mean nothing to me. The character of the person... man or woman, is what matters most.

Well, looking at what women at large go for, the old hollywood version of high value men, which exists solely to attract the female gaze and dollars, works.

Being high value has nothing to do with finances and success. My ex for example, not saying he’s not a good guy, was a low value man. Reasons are, he never wanted to help grocery shopping, never wanted to throw out the trash, would never get the door even if it’s delivery for him. Would never accompany me to anything important. Didn’t help me when I was moving. Never did anything I wanted to do if he didn’t want to as well, like go to the park. When I was sick didn’t offer any kind of help. My male colleague on the other hand, gay so don’t get any ideas, skipped his shift and stayed with me until I was better.

Of course the women are incentivised to be dishonest and say they prefer long term qualities in a man. But hot does and never will consider what is good for the long term.
