Is it normal to say I love you all the time?

Seems to be excessive. Is he trying to prove a point? Or maybe he doesn't and just says it so he can keep getting some? Or is it "love bombing? I feel like more than 50% of his communication is either he loves me or misses me. We've been dating for 1.5 years

Maybe his love language is words of affirmation. He grew up in a house where he was told her was loved or vice versa and wants to be the house that (verbally) flows with love.

Live your life but I'd bet he would appreciate it if you said it back.

As long as he isn't sending mixed signals, being out at shady hours or hard to get a hold of, he could just have Labrador energy lol.

By "all the time" do you mean multiple times a day? How often do you meet?

We see each other 2-3 times a week. He'll say at at least 10 times when we're in person, a lot over text too.
