It's human nature to under-value anything given to them too easily. So in dating & relationship, should you ever make them work really hard to get you?

People are people, not a challenge. This mindset is partly behind the massive backlash against men, as a lot of it comes down to guys not taking no for an answer, but then you get people with this mindset who say no wanting someone to keep pushing them.
Either accept no means no and drop the mind games and say yes to people you like the first time round, or experience that backlash when you get labelled a creep for not leaving someone alone.
It shouldn't be a challenge to find someone you get along with and care about and who feels the same about you, everyone deserves this yet we've turned it into a massive minefield that's led to #metoo, the incel movement and a major increase in male depression and suicide.
No. I disagree completely. No one is a prize. NO ONE. Relationships are about COMPATIBILITY. You're either right for each other or you're not. If you make it hard on the other person to even get a date with you, then you're manipulating the process and making them SELL themselves to you. You never want to turn love into a sales game.
by the way, this is where companies are failing as well. When you make the hiring process such a competition, people will twist any angle they can just to get HIRED. That doesn't mean they're right for the job. Many are terrible employees and will wash out quickly. Either that or they will hang on and drag the entire organization down until they are forcibly removed.
Thanks for the MHO.
I see your point on this and I'll give my opinion because I was invited, so here it is;
I realize some people love the chase, but then the chase ends and they lose interest. I prefer straight forward, no games, cards on the table. I don't see people as items to be won, kept, traded, or discarded the same as I would see earning money, buying a car, saving for a house, etc.
Sorry to disagree. 😉 I do see your point and I think most people will agree with you.
i think it's childish and immature to just play games.

I do not support playing games in a relationship. My feelings and thoughts towards my partner are an open book.
The way I think about it is if you want a woman who undervalues things that are given to her, then play the “hard to get,” “negging,” etc. PUA game. I preferred to be up front about my interest in women and move on quickly from those who didn’t reciprocate.
Like all things in life, it's a balance, you cannot give your commitment or body so easily that it is undervalued nor can you hold out so much that the other person feels that they are being undervalued.
If you look if one gives the chase too long then that person is bound to give up and move on with life
If a woman doesn't see my value, I move on. I'm too old for bullshit games, my time is literally running out.
If I have to try and manipulate you to get into your heart then you're not worth my time.
This is the closest actual definition to retarded I've ever seen
i think dating is hard enough as is xD
Always...
