Why won't he ask me out?

Hey guys!
I met this fella at a frat party about two weeks ago, and we danced all night long. We proceeded to dance at the next two parties following, and his roommates even referred to me as "(His Name)'s Girl." He was also extremely touchy (hands on my back, etc), and I think he even wanted to kiss me at one point.
Only problem: he never asked for my snapchat or number! That third time we saw each other, I got fed up and found his instagram, which I followed, and proceeded to add his snapchat, which was listed in his instagram bio. He IMMEDIATELY sent me a snapchat, and now we've got a 4 day streak going.
Obviously, I could be wrong, but this guy doesn't seem like the fuckboy type. He's an engineering student, and his roommates are definitely the nerdy type. My friend did mention that he "flirted" with her, but I'm weary to trust her on this (but maybe I should?).
I know I'm overthinking this, but now I'm stuck in this weird "snap streak" limbo where I have contact with him, but we're not saying anything! How do I get him to ask me out on a coffee date or something? Or do you think the fact that he hasn't yet might be a sign he doesn't see me as datable?
