Boyfriend calls when he is bored…?

Should I take it as a good sign or not. Instead of him giving time to himself to do hobbies and interests he calls me. I’m concerned and shared it with him but he is having a hard time letting go of that time

Haha, this is funny to me because of my experience with it. My ex-boyfriend and I would call each other constantly when we were bored because of quarantine. We talked for hours, and it drew us very close together. However, this became very detrimental to him, and lost interest in almost all of his hobbies. It still affects him now, so it's right of you to worry about that. I wouldn't say it's necessary to not be someone for him to call when he's bored, but I'd split up the time and allow him time to focus on himself for a bit, and then call or vice versa. It's a great sign that he loves to talk to you, though :)

Great idea. He did the piano, but still goes to the gym! He always wants me to be include in his plans with friends. We started a dynamic with couples but I noticed he isn’t hanging out with them at dinner much anymore

The breakup was mainly caused by distance, (he goes to college in a different state) and the fact that we're so busy w/ academics—so nothing really to do with how close we were. We're still close friends, too. It's good you mentioned it!

I say try to convince him to find a hobby or interests outside of your relationship. And consider doing that yourself.
