Dating a Much Older Guy? I'm The Same Age As His Own Daughters? Is that a red flag?

I'm a 24-Year-Old woman. I had my birthday last week, so recently turned 24-Years-Old. I finished college and I got an associate degree last year in social work and I started a new full-time job about 6 months ago. I love my job so much and I've been slowly making work friends and we go out for dinner and drinks every so often. Through work friends I made a mutual friend with a much older guy. I met him about two months ago. He doesn't work through my job and works elsewhere but I met him through work friends and he seems like a genuine, approachable and honest guy. We've been talking for about 6 weeks now and we've gone on a few dates and he's expressed he's interested in me and I, interested in him. Only issue, he is 47-Years-Old. I'm 24 and what makes it stranger is he has 2 daughters of his own who are close to my age. His oldest is 23-Years-Old and she is 11 months younger than me and his second daughter is 21-Years-Old. So for me to be so close in age to his own kids would certainly raise a few brows. We haven't really told anyone that we're seeing each other yet. Only a handful of my close friends and some of his. He got married young when he was 23 and he was married for 13 years. Him and his ex-wife divorced 11 years ago and she moved to France shortly after with their two daughters (she was born in France and moved back to her home city and got a very good job there and it was the best for their situation at the time). I'm based in England and so is this guy, obviously, he's from the UK. His children I haven't met, as his two daughters moved to France 11 years ago with their mother, but they visit him every holiday and talk often on the phone and social media and seem close. They don't know about me yet. I haven't told my parents yet. I only moved out of home 6 months ago in to a little, cheap apartment near my full-time job. My mum is 48 and my dad is 50 so I feel like dating someone very much close to the age of my own parents will be questionable.

Your choice, age doesn't matter... I even posted a question on this awhile ago, if older people had issues with dating or having sex with someone their adult child's age or if younger people would be like, this could be my dad... most seemed to not care.

The only thing that would concern me is that if you do get together, expect to be a widow in your 40's or 50 and no golden years together... but you could still enjoy the time you have together until then.

Well if you really love him, it won't be the issue. People just judge, they don't have anything to do. Age is just a number. If you really feel for him, i don't think anyone would have a problem including your family and his family.

Normally I would say that that age difference is fine, BUT since he has daughters around your age, that makes it weird and NOT okay in my opinion. I think they shouldn't have a kid within 15 years of their partner's age.

Just ask yourself why this man is dating someone your age instead of someone near his age. It's usually not good.

never said it was illegal. just fucking creepy as fuck. plus those kids of his will quite understandably also be freaked out.
also, while it may not be illegal, it is definitely something that will be questioned continuously with hints of "was there some grooming going on" due to the age gap. its an eyebrow raiser
