What to say to make him feel better?

My boyfriend and i are dating for a year now and we are in a very happy relationship he is just the most understanding person and makes me feel secure and i never doubt his loyalty. Now the thing is he was in a relationship of 6 years before me and the girl cheated on him and he broke up and now the girl is trying to text him call him through every possible app and he keeps blocking her. He even changed his number but that Psycho got that too Whenever this happens he just gets low and i don't know what to say because I've never dealt with this before I feel bad that I can't comfort him. He just says that he feels bad about wasting time on her and he doesn't misses her or something like that it just the way it feels. And that is totally acceptable to me. Whenever she texts or he spots her somewhere he just gets low. Can someone suggest me what to do and say to him to make him feel better. (We are in long distance for sometime so just suggest accordingly)
