Why did he do that?

So i known this guy since middle school he always liked me etc but i kept him as a friend. Anyways I finally decided to give in now that we are adults and today (its only been 3 days since making it official) i sent him some pictures and told him to send me one back he did however in the mix of the pics he sent was one of him on FaceTime with a female in a bra i addressed it and he told me it was his cousin i immediately broke it off for obvious reasons my thing is i know he did this on purpose lets be for real what was the point of you chasing me for years just to be a jack a*** someone please explain
