My ex contacted me yesterday, should I try to keep talking to him?

We spoke for the entire day and it was really nice catching up with him. He even said thank you for responding and said that he missed me. The conversation ended after he said goodnight, and I haven't heard from him today.
I really want to talk more but the whole reason why our relationship ended was because he could never initiate and would always act like I didn't exist sometimes. I was really happy that he initiated yesterday after months of no contact, but I'm afraid that might be the last time I hear from him. I'm so conflicted.

Unfortunately exs are exs for a reason and it's never a good idea to get involved with them again. People generally don't change or at least not without a lot of effort and support usually through therapy. Getting involved with an ex will only lead to more heartbreak, things might be good at the start but it's only a matter of time before things become too comfortable and return to what they were when the relationship fell apart the first time.

At the end of the day it's your life and your choice but I suggest you find someone new and move forward your life, not backwards.

He may missed you but after a break-up people tends to be cold to each other. Just don't think about him, maybe talking with him is still a mistake for both of you.

I think you should initiate talking again. Men like when women initiate talks. This shows you're interested. If a girl initiates talking to me I like it a lot but doesn't happen with me😅.
