How much longer do I wait, is this over or should I give it more time?

So I recently went out on a second date with a guy that I really like, and royally messed it up because I was very in my head and zoned out because right before said date, I had really gotten into it with my parents about respecting my boundaries as far as disclosing information about my relationships. He called me out on why I was acting so weird and I tried my best to explain the situation to him but he still just seemed really upset. The last time I spoke to him I apologized profusely for the way the date went (this was last Friday) and his response to me was “I’m not ghosting you by any means, I just need some time to think.” Now I know that he said he isn’t ghosting me but I’m just kind of wondering if there is any hope of him coming back around given what he said or if this is just over?

Give him a few weeks, then make one final effort and reach out again.

I wouldn't worry about it. Stuff happens, and if you being (for fair reason) flustered really offended him that much then you don't need someone that weak in your life anyway.
