How do you improve communications with someone?

we've talked a fair bit in person the last month but feels there's room for improvement as we still don't mention certain things to each other and mainly talk in person at her work and a restaurant

but i think we have a good connection so just trying to figure out the best way to make it even better

I think you’re still knowing each other so you can let the conversations grow naturally. If you want to improve a bit, you may try to comprehend a bit more her, for example asking her what are her fears, or maybe her opinions on certain things (actuality facts, religion, politics, relationships in general, point of view of things, etc… ) so you can give her the impression of an interest coming from you and you, in parallel, can learn something more about her.

But I can recommend you NOT to talk about exes or her relationships if it’s not her who talks about it.

she'd have to have lots of time available to discuss more in depth things but agree it might be a way to learn more about her

never once talked about any one she's dated in the past , not even really sure who she's dated as so little has ever been mentioned about anyone , know of 1 guy as i saw them together but they broke up soon after words around this time 2021 but she's never once said 1 word about him , infact never even admitted to me they dated but i know they dated for a couple months as i saw it mentioned online

I suggest you to let her say if she dated or not, don’t be obsessed with this matter and let’s “follow the flow”.
If you show yourself a bit interested about her by talking a bit more deeply, sure she will notice and, if she’s interested, there may be a growing entente between you two.

i think she's noticed that i was more interested in her this year then before , we had known each other in the past but not as close

i'm pretty sure she's dated at least somewhat although not sure how serious any of those guys were in reality

our conversations seem more natural than before , were talking more now than we did previously

i'm just trying to think of different things to talk to her about or open up more with her
