Insecure about looks?

I told my boyfriend that im pmsing and feel insecure and low self esteem and that i went on Instagram and compared myself to the girl he got with before we were officially dating. And said i felt uglier and he was like i don’t want to have this convo because ur so pretty. I told him to not tell me what i want to hear and he said that honestly we are such different types you can’t compare us because we look so different and are attractive for different reasons. Do u guys think he's being honest?

Some advice, please do not compare yourselves to other women. Notice how he said "i don’t want to have this convo", that's because no matter what he says, you're not going to listen to him anyway. Look where you're at now, on an online forum asking strangers whether they believe him, just proving my point.

I will never truly understand the emotions you were going through, but you can control yourself to not go searching for women to compare yourself too. When you do this, not only do you hurt yourself, but you hurt him too.

I know this isn't the answer you were looking for, but I'm not going to give it to you either.

I mean there isn't really anything to say that he is being dishonest.

The idea of one woman being attractive and then another woman looking completely different to her but also being attractive is definitely possible like it happens all the time it's a very common thing

To me it sounds like you're reacting to something that isn't really an issue to him.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that you're self-confidence isn't important just that if your romantic partner finds you to be attractive then there really shouldn't be much of an issue in that department.

Yes, just like he probably shouldn't compare himself to your past boyfriends should he? Also realize that these are simply your feelings right now, and maybe find other ways to deal with them (like something to not focus on them and to distract yourself). Remember that confidence is attractive. Everyone has insecurities, but try not to let them get the best of you. Just like if it was reversed and he was feeling like this, it would probably be a bit of a turn off for you right?
