I often hear other guys and girls say to “just let it roll off your shoulders” when a girl says or does something shitty or disappoints you. As a man I am not supposed to “take women too seriously”.
There was a time in my life where I had lots of options. If a girl did something shitty and/or broke my heart it wasn’t difficult to find someone else later. It sucked in the moment but it I always had hope someone better was around the corner. However I was around a lot more single women back then and I was younger.
But my options are much more limited nowadays. Dating is much harder at my age. So if I come across a decent prospect and she lets me down chances are it going take a while to find someone else (along with a shit load of effort.). I find myself becoming increasingly pissed off and depressed.
