I'm 26 years old and me and my boyfriend have been together for six years now. This is my first relationship and we live together. He's always been nice to me and supported me through everything, he never gets angry and he is a great communicator. He is literally perfect! A month ago I had a gut feeling and looked through his phone and I found out that he had slide into two girls dms. He was just talking to them but in a flirty way in my opinion.. I confronted him and he said they're just his friends from his hobby and apologized if I took the convos the wrong way since according to him, there wasn't any flirting. He then asked me if he were to cheat, why would he pick someone that I know? You tell me.. none of my friends liked hearing this obv but I can't decide if I'm overreacting. Recently I had another look at the people he follows on Instagram and there are two new females he now follows who are friends with each other, who I have NO idea how he knows them. They're not from here. I told him im still mad at him and he said he would inactivate his Instagram for me but I don't care. What is done is done. I always had a feeling I couldn't trust him and it's been confirmed to me. I DONT know if I should break up with him, how do I even know if it's right? I feel so lost. A part of me feels so betrayed.
Superb Opinion
I think you're overreacting. What kind of flirting? Just like you look at other handsome guys, cheesy talks are natural and it doesn't mean he's cheating. You could let him know that you don't like it.
But if the flirting limit exceeds, your part would be right.

This seems like a great time to establish new boundaries and have an important conversation about what is acceptable and what is not. Depending on how said conversation goes should tell you wether or not to stay. The conversation does not need to take place only on one day, could take a few if not weeks.
