I texted a guy saying “Hey, so I was thinking and I would like to be on the same page potentially. I am interested in you and have enjoyed hanging out with you so far. I would like to just see where this goes, but I’m not entirely sure where you stand.” He responded with “Hey sorry give me a bit I’m under the weather rn” What exactly does that response mean? Is that a good thing that he didn’t reject right away or just an easy way out?
In my opinion, it simply means that he was surprised by your move and that he has to get his act together.
It is probably rather a negative reaction as he does not seem to be in a hurry to act upon your request.
I just hope for you that you knew this man beforehand and that you did not just text him what you did out of the blue. That would definitely send the wrong signal about you and your intentions.
If someone I don't know texts me "... I am interested in you... see where this goes", I would instantly build up a wall around me because we all know where this is likely to go.
Wait a few days and if he does not reply or gives you some excuses, then move on. He obviously is not interested. Good luck.
It sounds like he is dishonestly for some reason avoiding comment. Instead of saying, “I need some time to process what you are asking”…. he BBN pulled in dick with the COVID-19 etc. make sense ⁉️

I believe it means he's sick, possibly a cold or flu. Perhaps a stomach bug.
Give him some time.
