So, I don't blame you if you don't know either, but here's the question.
I'm in a different state every day. I work hard in the sun and there is no shower in the truck. My job is dirty, difficult, and living in the truck has plenty of downsides too.
But man, I saw a guy pull up, at first I thought he brought his kid with him but it turned out to be a cute little lady who walked around handing him bungie ties and stuff like that. He was gone in half the time, probably saves at least 30 minutes a day just having an extra set of hands, and I'm going man... forget the money, I could take a shower every day?
But it's like, usually when I go places I'm not clean. Not cheery. In a rush and it's usually a greasy truck stop.
That said, I know there are girls who are into the trucking lifestyle. The scenery, the things we get to see and the places we get to go. There's a lot to love about it too. Essentially if you get to relax while someone else does most of the driving and working part.
But online dating doesn't work. And you can't meet someone for the first time and move in together on the spot. It's close quarters. A lot of couples don't work out and man... that's a tough situation for everyone.
So honest question, how does a trucker go from no girlfriend to being the guy who makes more money, takes more showers, has more time to relax and isn't all by himself all year?
Do you pretty much have to be married before you start driving the truck? I don't understand how that works but man I sure am jealous.
