Am I Wrong Here?

So……my ex/baby mama broke up with me back in January. I’m pretty ok with the breakup in general, but some things are still tough. Like during our 5 years together, I would always offer to find a sitter for us to go out and have a date night; which always was ignored or disregarded/forgotten about. But my ex has a little bit of a habit of telling me about dates with this one and that one…….. and then I’m made out to be a monster or an asshole for flipping out when I feel that her saying those things, knowing I offered so many times and she never once accepted, is nothing less than a huge slap in my face. Am I missing something that I shouldn’t be upset over this stuff?

Sounds like she didn't see the value in you and your efforts. It's perfectly normal to feel frustrated over it especially if she's now going on about it with other people. It's toxic if she's deliberately trying to infuriate you and then make out that you're the mad one.

As I wrote in an earlier comment, I don’t know if she’s doing it deliberately or not, my gut feeling is that she’s not, but things similar to this have happened in the past too, and I had made it well known that it infuriates me so she very well could be doing it on purpose.

You've made her aware of how you feel about it and she's still doing it. She's now conscious of what it does to you and she's not being considerate enough to stop it. Trust your gut/intuition but just be wary, and don't stand for it if it carries on. She could be doing it to get a reaction out of you to see if you still care, or she's deflecting that she's doing something wrong because she subconsciously know's it's not right.

It isn’t the same exact thing that’s happened repeatedly, but I’m definitely treading carefully. I definitely appreciate the input and I don’t plan on putting up with it anymore. Next time it happens I know how I’m going to handle it and I just need to keep a cool head if/when that day comes. Because if I don’t it will only end really bad. (I’m not saying anything about physical abuse or any kind of abuse for that matter.) I’m talking about if she wants to play hardball then hardball it shall be

Thanks! I definitely have come to terms with my faults which led to the breakup and I’ve apologized often for being such an asshole toward her at times while we were together. I try my best to keep it civil for the sake of our daughters but she just loves to push buttons at the worst times. I don’t even know or even think she's intentionally doing it to be completely honest and I will give her the benefit of doubt on it; I just am so tired of it happening regardless and especially tired of being made to be the bad guy when I do get upset and start freaking out

I read that. You gave a lot in love and she knows that AND Man-Up is attractive in the long-term to any damaged person. This and That but least Man/Woman-Uped about it. I am hopeful that she one days steps-up too.
