Would you date a girl (or guy) who had a GREAT personality and was super attracted to you, but the opposite of the type of body you go for, in that gender? Not "a complete turn off," but say, you like tall girls and she was short, or you like skinny girls, and she was a little bit overweight. Assuming you couldn't "fix her," would you date against type?

Yes, as long as she’s still attractive. All of my sexual relationships started with mental and emotional stimulation. I’ve literally never approached a woman just because i thought she was attractive, and i’ve only been approached by women a few times. The one who was insanely hot, i assumed she was some kind of con artist or something. No joke.

I’d say that I would be open to dating a woman who is he opposite of my usual type. I’m usually more interested in women broadly in the middles of height, weight and proportions, but if a lady who was a bit of an extreme either way I’d still at least see if it can work out. Good personalities are uncommon enough, let alone Great personalities.

Not exactly. I would date a short woman, even though that is definitely not my type. But obese? Can't do anything with that. I'm already open to all race and ethnicities.

But if your type is skinny, attractive women (regardless of race or height), then you wouldn't the opposite of that, overweight or ugly women.

Well, sure I prefer tall skinny women, but I date overweight women too. I guess from what you're saying, a short obese woman would be the opposite of my type, and I would date her if she's overweight but not if she's obese.

What's the difference? Most people attracted to skinny women call them both the same thing.
(To me, there's a clear difference. Overweight would be like 200 pounds. Obese would be like 300. But to people who hate obese women, there is no difference. It's all "fat.")

Yes. I didn't have a specific "type" before. I've noticed I have one now, but continuously stray from it because there's a variety of attractive men out there. I didn't like muscular buff men AT ALL. But met a guy who changed my mind and now I love them. Not a fan of super tall guys because it's a bit awkward being 5'3.. But the last guy was 6'5, slim (runner) and made me feel comfortable when cuddling. Short, tall. Muscular, slim. I could do either. I've dated bigger guys in the past. Although I definitely prefer fit muscular men, i wouldn't be surprised if some average-bigger guy with a nice face made me fall for him 🤷🏾‍♀️

My job makes me surrounded by fit men, but next year i won't be required to be around them so things might change again.

I'd would say it's unlikely. Even if the person was my "ideal" in everything except appearance, there's a good chance I would but I'm not sure if they'd actually want to date me. Otherwise, sure, I wouldn't mind their appearance if I liked everything else about them or most things.

I used to care about weight and boobs size in the past but nowadays I am flexible about that, on the other hand I care more about height than in the past, I prefer short girls as they make me feel taller, but I might date a tall girl if she had a great personality and is super attracted to me.

I used to date very athletic girls. Once I dated somebody who was not athletic or outdoorsy. We had to walk a half mile to go to a concert and she complained the whole time.

@TwiNshichamp1 kind of, the inclination to a certain body type is around 0.4-0.5 heritable (if your parents are skinny, you'll probably be skinny too) and obesity is much more heritable than usual.

Yes genetic predisposition is inherited, and no I'm not going to date someone I absolutely know I don't want to have kids with.

Yes but as I understood the question it was about more than just body mass. Or maybe your type is just "not overweight"? I mean people could want someone who's tall, short, blonde, brunette, certain ethnicity (with the features they have), hairy, baby face, curly hair or whatever.
