I believe that personality and character matters most, and they don't at the same time. It makes logical sense to say that because there's a lot of people, an ordinary decent person can get passed over for someone that their crush finds more appealing. That's why a recruiter will say "Your resume looks great! I'll get you connected to our HR!" *3 days later* crickets.

I don't think I'm fat, BUT I can lose weight if a doctor says I need to for my health. Here was the type of girl I liked the past: She was 5'6" blonde and used to be in the top sorority of a university. I have a feeling that, because she's really beautiful, there's a lot of other guys who are ahead of me in looks and other things.

I am going to be super honest somebody told me today I should do that, since you asked, I know the type of girl you are describing, pretty much these are my friends and suitemates and roommates from my college years, that is a world I know very well. What I will tell you is that they get attention from a lot of guys and it's more about picking someone out of multiple options, than it is about whether one guy is "good enough." I have to honestly say that I think you'd need a lot of luck I mean like, you'd have to rescue their cat or give their brother CPR or something that really stands out.

But you aren't a bad looking guy you can get a girlfriend it just may not be the 5-6 blonde sorority hot chick, you know, once you are with somebody if you like them, they will look good to you no matter how somebody would rate them!! I hope this doesn't sound mean or negative but anyway JMO!!

Whether or not you are overweight according to your BMI , you are pudgy. No woman owes you a date. People tend to date their equally in intelligence, fitness, emotional maturity, and ambition. If you want to date hot women, you need to get to work. They have a lot of choice. Why should they pick you?
