I met this guy on a night out on the 10th September, exchanged numbers and we live 45 mins away from each other

been on 2 dates (he drove down to me) have slept together multiple times, been on dates, he’s met my parents

we’ve done a lot in 2 dates so I asked him what’s going on? Do you even like me?

he's 25 and never had a girlfriend before and said he’s shy and isn’t used to all this. Apparently girls normally reject him whereas I’ve been quite forward

he said “I do like you and love the company, we just need more dates”

why would we need more dates if we’ve had 2 amazing weekends together, been intimate, gone out, text everyday. Does it mean he’s not sure about me so needs more dates to clarify? Or keeping his options open to other girls?

A month is fast. I fully agree with your sentiment that it is what you do rather than how long since the start that matters. And it sounds like you have gotten more than a months value so far.

But also, hasn't he set this up nicely for you? It seems to me all you want is girlfriend/boyfriend statid, or at least a nod of exclusivity. If that is the case, just tell him that. He already said he likes that you can be upfront.

"Hey doofus, take your time to figure things out. I just want to know that while you do, it's just us two and I get to have you to myself." Is pretty simple statement, that isn't super official and I guess solves the direct issue? Sometimes all you need is to say what you want.

1. Most people are not willing to make a commitment after just two dates. You barely know him!

2. Why have you had sex multple times, met his parents, etc. and you've only had two dates with no commitment from him? You are trying to make things happen too fast and that will push most people away from a potential partner.
