Gonna ask me out?

Ok... so I like this guy... we're both in our early 20s. We go to church together. So this has been a Rollercoaster. I thought he was interested in me, he showed little signs... eye contact, showing off, compliments, always helping me, the list goes on and on. Then I was talking to my brother, who is my crushes best friend, and he was telling me that it seems like his friend is interested but that he's not really looking for a relationship right now. Soooo I decided to try not to like him because I didn't want to get hurt, and I also didn't want to make my crush uncomfortable. Fast forward a couple weeks. It was his birthday. I painted him a MARVELOUS painting (took over 30 hrs). I gave it to him the other day, and he was enamored with it. After that, it just seems like he's been looking for ways to talk to me. About 2 weeks ago he had asked me what my schedule is (what days I work, what times I'm off)... I told him. But yesterday, he asked me again, the SAME question. And I just thought that was weird because he's really smart and doesn't do anything unintentionally. So my question is if you think he likes me, and if he might be planning to ask me out? Also his family has been really nice to me, and has been making the effort to talk to me and invite me to things. Which is kinda unlike them to do. So yeah... I don't know... let me know what you think?
