I try really hard to be likeable. I put effort in my looks, personality and still no one has liked me. Even back in time when I didn't care about what people thought of me and just being myself still no one liked me. But my sister just gets men without even looking at them. What is wrong with me? I am 17 and no one has flirted with me in real life, complimented my looks or liked me.
Then problem is you put too much effort and that appear on your aura, that you are waiting for something from people around you and that drive people off,
instead of looking for attention, focus on other things that makes you happy, whether sports, cooking, drawing, hiking, any hobby.
once you appear happy and having a full-filling life without the need of anyone's attention, you will find people getting drawn to you.
life is simply teaching you to loose that habit of wanting attention as its toxic and if you are used to that and got older with the same thinking, you will suffer a lot.
maybe its the scene your part of? usually girls get hit on more based on location , like if your at a party or bar would be more likely someone talks to you.
at school it still happens , guys will talk to girls there. might depend too on who your girlfriend are and if there getting interest from guys or not
