There was a guy who I went on a date with. He was a very great guy , sweet, generous, respectful, good husband material. But the only problem was that he had "the one that got away". His ex left him because she wanted to have a baby but he did not because he wasn't financially ready (though she was financially ready). She traveled to another state, married and had a baby with another man. Now she is divorced and contacted him recently about her situation. He claims he is already over her but
When he talks about her , I can still see in his eyes that he still loves her very much and was still very sad that he couldnt have a future with her. Now that she is a divorced single mother, he doesn't want to get back together with her. She was "the one that got away". Its the fact that he knows that he could've worked out with this woman that really bothers me. She is no random ex. He knows that he could've married her and had a happy with her. This fact bothers me the most.
I ended up rejecting him after the second date despite the fact that he was enamored by me.
