I knew a fresh of the boat Taiwanese programmer who looked and acted very weird, by telling immature fart jokes that was sure I would date him because he viewed himself as more intelligent and better looking than me. And I knew a college drop out with a high IQ who would always tell me he'd date me if I lost weight. They did not know I wanted to make millions as an author or musician or art dealer or real estate and stock investor and wanted to study religion at Harvard or Yale and save lives through philanthropic goals. These guys weren't even 2% of what I wanted out of life and they thought they were above me in attractiveness.

I deal with people like that every day. It only gets worse the more progress you make because people don't want to see you do well. They get jealous.

I got into it with an audio engineer the other day because he was saying something totally wrong and stupid. He started trying to make fun of me and brought up how much longer he was in the industry than me.

When people try to make you into an enemy or a rival for no reason, you have no choice but to leave them behind as you grind it out. Let them spin their tyres and go nowhere.
