I’m sort of new into the dating world because of an improvement in my looks I don’t know how to start. I’ve been with a few guys but none of it ever worked out. I’ve been with a guy for 9 months and he cheated on me almost through the whole relationship. I didn’t know of any of it until the last minute but when we got into fights he would admit that the girls he cheated on me were better looking and felt he could do way better than me. When I was with him I was told by several people that he was ugly and I could do way better than him. I never agreed about it and never told him what I was being told.
I’m interested in a new guy and someone I know tells me to go for him. I found him too attractive so I told her I wouldn’t go for him. She told me not to be afraid because that I was way above his standards. But I overheard her tell him that I found him too attractive and that she was trying to make me comfortable to approach him.
I’ve been ghosted by several guys before even guys who were obsessed with me first. It’s usually how mostly how it always ends and it mostly happens in the talking stage. I was told that it was because they guys I was speaking to were out of my league and had options and to stop aiming so high. Then I was told that the guys were only after sex. At this point I don’t know what to do or who to date. What should I do?
