How do you accept your parents dating other people?

In a setting where they have divorced or one of them remained widowed of course.

I've met the man that my mother is dating, and to be honest, he made a good impression on me - 44 years old (so slightly younger than her), thinning hair but tall, very polite to both me and my wife. Divorced and with adult children, he works as staff manager in an hotel.

I would be happy for either as being alone shortens life span. Plus, it is none of my Business what they do with their life, assets, monies, and etc. As long as they treat the grand kids well there is nothing more that can be asked of them.

It is their final years and spending those with joy and peace would be a pleasure to be a part of. I am not their keepers... yet.

My parents divorced when I was 28 years old. My father was a chronic cheater and it was no surprise that he had been dating someone else. He married the other woman 8 days after his divorce was final.

My mother started dating about 7 years after the divorce was final. I never met the first guy she dated, and she married the second guy she dated.
