You can (weather permitting) just go for a walk or hang out at a park, take a picnic, or walk around a swap meet or farmer's market, or go bowling, skating, play pool or darts, or even go shooting if she's up for it. One girl loved sea creatures - especially otters and sea lions - so I took her to the Monterey Aquarium and we walked around there for 4 or 5 hours, and she was thrilled.
As long as you are relaxed and comfortable, and you can talk most of the time, almost anything could work.01 Reply- +1 y
I was student teaching at the time. My students from 8th Grade were presenting a play. I called her and asked her to go with me. She agreed. Afterwards, we went to a Burger Chef and talked for a long time. Next we were going to movies almost every weekend untI
I graduated. We continued to see each other after I left school, and eventually married.

I could think of a busy restaurant during daytime, most likely on a Saturday or Sunday. That lunch (not dinner) could be followed by the visit of a museum. What I would avoid is a noisy place because it does not allow for a normal conversation.
At the end of the visit, still in daytime, both parties leave on their own, so as not to give the wrong impression.

That's very reasonable. One dude I went on a date with took to me to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, then to get pizza. Didn't click with him enough to warrant a second date (personality of a shoe box), but ultimately a pretty relaxed date
- +1 y
@Sirenboobzilla That's great (about the museum) and you had the opportunity to experience something that perhaps not everyone does on a date. Hope the pizza was good though :-)

Mmm, girl, New York Pizza is godly. We fight people for dang otherwise 😆
I do prefer places where I can have conversations without having to shout. Best one was when my boyfriend took me to Central Park and had a small picnic. It was so sweet 🥰 - +1 y
@Sirenboobzilla A picnic is a nice change for a first date. Very down to earth and simple yet gives a more intimate feeling. It is also a relatively safe place unless of course you place your blanket on some dog poo. Then it is a sh***y business 💩

+1 yIt depends on the circumstances for which woman to date because theyre all different:
A restaurant after sex to be the dominant provider.
A club to have a drink with a woman to get her in the mood.
The cinema for someone that I can be friends with and want to hang out and not just want to have sex with like a real partner.
A strip club comes to mind. Nothings impossible but it all depends on who you meet but this is more likely to be with someone who is already intoxicated (generally already out drinking) and wants to be a stripper or likes woman.
I wouldn't rule out shopping but im yet to dominate a hot woman just because they like pretty things (gold diggers are a common example but I believe there's some that dont want to reach the level of whore with being paid for sex regardless of being bought something of monitary value).
In general though id rule out coffee. I've only ever went with a woman to get a coffee who I have already had a long history with, once and even that was a dead end but ideally a woman is more inclind to want to go for a coffee with a guy to size them up, so to question the 2 hour coffee would be to wonder if coffee is what theyre really doing and yet its more likely to be a trap or to put someone in the friends zone or to treat you gay for woman to have a bitch as if you're one of there female friends, regardless if whether or not they have 1.

+1 yI guess the back seat of a car or a closed restroom, any empty place where there is hardly a place to even sit. That way we can get rid of all the trappings and see each other in all our nakedness. Now, if we can hit it off and be in splits of laughter till 3 , 4 in the morning and not know how the time went,,,, we are in business. When u meet someone, they,, have to be the main attraction. Thats a real relationship, every other that, u have to go to this place and that, you are just trying to put lipstick on a pig. Its sad but most relationships really need that place or as the high-society-wanna-bes say " high mantainence" to survive. To me such relationships are like a bum who needs a tuxedo to go around, kind of ridiculous. Sadly I somehow get dragged into to many such relationships.
00 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. Once I had a good job, I would ask a girl out to a decent local restaurant with a nice atmosphere (not too expensive but nice). I asked them if they had a preferred restaurant. We would meet there the first time.
I never had a lady pick someplace that was opulent or expensive. But her choice did tell me something about her taste and character.
I dressed well, often with a casual sport coat. Never a tie. And I assessed the way she presented herself.
Prior to my later 20s, I don't recall asking girls on dates other than maybe going someplace fun together. I had girlfriends from the time I was 16 and usually knew them already from school, work, or friend circles. I already knew that they were into me. I didn't have to ask total strangers on dates.00 Reply- 907 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yMeet up for coffee, maybe picnic at the park or hiking. Meeting (driving seperately, some place public (my peace of mind as well as hers), with something interesting going on. If it doesn't work, you can call it an early evening.
Generally, it's best if you can talk during the date, so avoiding loud clubs, movies, sports, that sort of thing is probably for the best.10 Reply - 963 opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yIf it is spring, summer or fall, I tend to suggest walking in the park, if it's winter, head to the coffee shop.
I would dress appropriately for the park in the winter, but I find some people don't know how to dress properly during the winter season.

+1 ySome semi-public place offering both physical safety and mutual anonymity.
This IS an interview to ascertain 'common interest'. Getting to 'know' one another.
Private enough to afford candid honesty yet public enough to permit either to get up and leave, without fear of retribution of 3rd party ridiculing censure.00 Reply
+1 yWell here's my opinion on this , my preferred place to go for a first date is a Pizza place to eat or going to the movies. Well the reason I said Pizza is because to me it's so romantic to be eating delicious Pizza while on a date with a girl. Or going to the movies & watching a movie with your date ♀️

Anonymous(25-29)+1 ySome popular first date ideas might include going for a walk in a park, meeting up for coffee or drinks, or attending a fun event or activity like a museum visit, a concert or a movie screening. Ultimately, the most important thing is that both parties feel comfortable and can get to know each other in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

+1 yIf I go on a first date, I like meeting for coffee or going for walk on a boardwalk or to park. I have met for breakfast too. The key is to make it for a fixed time, so that if it's not going well, then you have an escape. If it IS going well, then you have the possibility to extend the date and spend more time together.
On my first date with an old girlfriend; we met for brunch, but extended it to the whole day!10 Reply
+1 yMovie theater is my go to because of that hour and 30 min time, ill see if I like them or not and vice versa. It is a simple date that each party can leave fast if they don’t like each-other or make plans thereafter if it goes well.
00 ReplyI think it needs to be somewhere we can both speak and at the same time do something so it's not totally awkward but it doesn't have to be such a fancy place or somewhere you both are used to go to so you don't have to pretend to be something

20 ReplyA walk in a park then a coffee at the cafe in the park. We can chat, it's cheap, it can be finished quickly or it can be escalated to having food. It's a chilled, no pressure first date.

00 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Dating topic. I prefer to just check if we get along so a longer walk or a fika is best. If there is chemistry we can go and do something more serious, otherwise we end it after 15 min or so.
