I had a boyfriend of a little over 2 years now. I’m a college student and he works at his apartment complex and he knows I have more going on in life because I come from a good family with money and who’s big on education and I plan on starting my career soon after I graduate this year.
He’s showered me with love and he’s overly affectionate but I expect that because that’s the way my dad has always been towards me too. I’m always there for him too and have brought him nice gifts. Overall he’s a good boyfriend. We don’t really go on dates anymore, we’ll hangout once a week in my basement and he’ll buy us fast food or something. Every now and then we’ll go to the movies.
He has brought up that he thinks I’m using him for his money ( because I’m not as affectionate towards him as he is me ) which is nuts because he lives at home with his family in a small apartment and he has a car but I drive us everywhere we go together. Whenever he buys us food, it’s literally just fast food and he insists.
Once I asked him to go go campus with me to get my books and he “left his wallet in his truck” which I think was intentional but I don't know.
He’s showed up on my door with cookies or flowers which is nice and I appreciate but I never ask him for anything.
Lately on our dates, he’s been getting “sick”. On our anniversary he said he didn’t feel well. Also a couple of weeks ago, in the middle of our date, he said his chest was hurting and he couldn’t rlly breathe and I believed him both times.
This week he promised to get us food this weekend when I’m not working and kind of hyped my mind up to it. He’s fine all week and energetic while texting me and never mentions feeling sick or anything even when he woke up this morning. He ran a few errands this morning and a few hours ago before we were set to hang out he said his body was hurting and it feels warm.
He insisted he had been feeling this way since Friday but he never mentioned it and we text 24/7. Am I overreacting?

I think he is getting that you are out of his league. He is insecure about his personal situation and it is spilling over into your personal life. He is slowly making you the enemy. You may want to consider backing off a little bit. You are too easy and he likely thinks he can mistreat you a little bit. Fast food is mistreatment although sincere flowers has value for most people.
