We have been out on an evening date from 6:00 pm-12:00 am. However, I can see how maybe that event was seen as platonic. He rarely texts me but when he does it's mainly joking/light-hearted discussion. I know in the past he asked my father for my number but my dad rejected him. I eventually was able to get his number through my dad and texted him to which he asked me out about 3 weeks ago.
Because he is often busy and works weekends I have not been able to schedule a follow-up date. I could always visit him at work during lunch but I don't want to come off as weird. We have shared a passing interest in one another for a year+ and he is often very complimentary and kind to me. But because he doesn't text me often I'm scared of getting ghosted. I really want him to know I have feelings for him but I don't know what to do.
