So I just experienced my first, I honestly didn't like it because 1, I'm still getting over a relationship and 2 I'm extremely shy. I honestly felt sorry for the guy because I barley talked to him and he was really trying to talk to me. I just wasn't use to it. I even apologized to him, yes he was cute and he does know about my situation with going through a breakup. I don't know I guess I just wasn't prepared. My guy friend told me, " hey when we hangout I want to bring a buddy with me so you can meet him" I honestly thought he meant as friends until he started asking me questions about if I was into him.

seems like you thought that you'll just do it it will be ok, but any date is kinda stressful so ofc people feel shy, awkward etc. Also when others connection you it can feel kind humiliating as well. If you are not ready to date then why get ysf in such situation anyways, give ysf time. Personally i dont like blind dates, id want to see the person, at leas photo, but setting up doesn't have o be bad, cause its not easy to find love
The way he said it was, " hey when we go out you will be meeting my buddy " I just figured he wanted me to meet his best friend since high school because we've became great friends and he wanted us to meet and then just always hang out and watch the games together. I never expected to be like a date or anything. I'm still trying to heal and he even knows that. So I honestly wasn't expecting anything just him wanting us to all be friends that goes out
yeah well that can be a shock and awkward... if you told him and he has been compassionate, forgive him, he only meant the best... for you now this is learning experience. I have always put strong boundaries when people tried to set me up w someone and it is definitely very uncomfortable
Never tried that, but Id give it a go.
