A year ago I got glasses and I saw a cute guy that worked out there. Long story short we matched on a dating app, went out on a date and video called.

It didn't work out he's the manager out there now, we didn't end on a bad note. I ended things cause it was stagnant. I just think he got busy with working. I know have to go out there and we haven't talked since new years eve and at first I was like swallow your pride and go. But now I don't want to go. My glasses are broke, I have to get a new pair. But my social anxiety is so bad. I'll probably drink some chamomile tea before I go lol. I need some words of encouragement. I would go somewhere else but they have my favorite frames I really like!

Worrying about the future is natural, but also logically silly. You don’t necessarily know if he’ll even be working when you go. And if you do see him, you don’t know what the interaction will be like.


Most of the time our fears are irrational. Not saying you’re feelings are wrong. But from a logic perspective, sometimes they don’t make sense.


I think everything will be ok. You’ll get some amazing new glasses. And just focus on that. It’s his loss for not giving you enough attention. So just go in, be yourself, and get your new glasses. You got this!

He was really professional about it. I walked in and was talking to the girl about getting glasses and he's like "charge her double" as a joke. Hahaha.

Yay! So glad it all worked out. It’s crazy how much we can get in our heads about things not based on reality. I’m definitely guilty of it too. But glad it worked out for you.
