I am surprised by all of the responses , because in reality I have always seen the opposite. Academicians in any field make very less money compared to others of their age range and that's generally trun off for a large section of women. Most biographics/autobiography of scientists mention struggling with dating (if they are men then with women , and vice versa)

I like guys that reason in an intellectual way and are able to entertain different points of view and appreciate the emotions and thoughts of others. That is the advantage to academic guys is that they care about these details such as you bruising your finger or getting a light cooking scar. I find some guys who have had hard lives and grow up outside academia can be very insensitive, to the point where you could be bleeding on their doorstep and they won't call an ambulance unless you say "please" first.

Not necessarily, sometimes they can be too busy in complexity, Richard Feynmanns wife divorced him , as he was too busy working on QED whole day and night instead of catering to her

What about his personality? Absolutely; I love intelligent men, and find ones that can hold a good conversation and have various passions a turnon-

But if they have mundane personalities, no hobbies or interests, or do not know how to hold a stimulating conversation? Intelligence can only go so far.

Yes, absolutely. Depending on what specific area of research he specializes in, it could create many hours of interesting conversation.
I love people who are intellectually curious, and dedicate a significant amount of time to thinking and quiet contemplation. An intellectually curious mind (and an emotionally curious? That's not really a term but Ima use it anyway here) is very attractive to me.

I like a guy that has a degree. Ain’t afraid to travel the world and try new things. Has to be interested in some of the same things I am interested in. I’m hopeful that my crush likes me as we share similar interests.

I love smart men, I come from a family of smart people ( brother & Dad both studied physics at Oxford) and I love it when you can have a great conversation with a man. Plus smart men are often quick witted, funny and very passionate about what they do! It’s a sexy combo!

Also you mentioned money in the update. I care more about a guys creative mindset than whats in his pocket. I’d rather date a “broke” freelance artist with time on his hands than a workaholic rich doctor. Idc whats in a guys pocket. Ideal is that we both make 60k each someday. But a lot of people still make 40k/50k and thats totally fine too. Im not seeking someone making 6 figures and up. Money is irrelevant to an extent. I just want my own so i can build a house and help care for my future hubby/kids. The guy should make his own so he can take care of himself and help provide for his future family.

Lol he could do long division :P but just the fact a guy is smarter than me, it means I can learn a lot and that in itself is quite stimulating. I may know some things, but lol it’s more fun for me at least that he will know more. :P I’m hands down a sapiosexual for sure. He’s gotta be balanced too though.
