What should I do? Would that be cheating?

So let’s start with a back story. Me and this guy meet when I was 19 and he was 18, I’m his first girlfriend, and we have been dating for 3 years, but lately he’s been where distant, is calling me names, doesn’t want to speak to me and etc. But when I try to break up with him, all of sudden he’s the sweetest boy I know. So few days back, boy from my past that I didn’t really get the clousure on what could have been, started writing me, that he still likes me n stuff (last time we talked about 4-5 years ago). He’s older than me, is very stable and he is asking me to go out so we can talk, but I can’t help but feel like it’s cheating and isn’t the right thing to do, even if my current boyfriend isn’t treating me right. I feel like they both want to play me.

You don't owe the younger guy anything , he's being an absolute arsehole , everything is no black / white , just go out with the older guy and see what happens , no its certainly not cheating , you are young , give yourself a chance , get out there...

I’m definitely just going to meet him for a talk, that older guy isn’t really and ex’s, just someone I used to talk to but we never meet irl, but he seems lot more into me then my boyfriend

Now with ex, go talk. He said just talk right? Then go and talk. Nothing more if you feel like he's playing you. No harm no foul for getting free meal and conversation. Or coffee.

We really isn’t my ex, just somebody that I used to talk to, but we never got the chance to meet up, from my side I’m really up for just talking and see if we click. But it feels very wrong, even if my current boyfriend doesn’t treat me right. He is like one week he’s literally calling me ho* for dragging me out off the house, the next week he’s crying and begging for me to not leave and that he will change, and this all repeats itself

If he's treating you that bad, then break up with him.
Now for the other guy, its just dinner. Make sure its nothing more.

Yes it is absolutely cheating. If you think it might be, it most likely is. be an adult. make a decision. and stick with it. or try to have your cake and eat it to and lose everything

I mean he did that. He was deleting all the messages n stuff and then I just saw him in the act trying to delete and hide the messages, and he said that it was just his old classmate, so I don't know

So why are u even with him if he has shown u he can't be trusted

I have nowhere else to go. The relationship made me isolated from all my friends, I don’t really have a family to go to, and I’m just not healthy enough to live on street

If that's true why even ask this if u are only in this situation because u have nothing else

Because I feel bad about doing it and I just wanted more opinions on this as I can’t really talk to anyone else about it

So u feel bad about doing somthing your partner has already done to you and u only are with him because it him or being homeless

I guess kinda, but you know how it could be with a toxic relationship, obviously I love him even after the things he has put me through and there’s still that little inner voice that is telling me that he could possibly change, but I know that’s not gonna happen and I can’t really move one and I really don’t know what to do

Its pretty obvious he won't change but if you are happy with this situation or being with him even when u know u can't trust him I'm not really sure what u are looking for

well if you are going to proceed with this i recommend you accomplish that breakup and proceed with caution if you believe he's trying to play you too

Cheating is anything that you hide from your partner. Break it off for good with your current guy and then you are free to do as you please.

He's verbally abusive. That should be an instant deal-breaker. He sn't going to change. Are you happy with him? Relaxed? Do you not believe you can do better? Because you can. Else this so you can meet someone capable of loving.

I would, but currently I can’t really afford to live on my own, I’m paying my grandmothers debt, I lost my job due getting cancer, and I can’t find new one, so as longs as i don’t have a job I can’t really break out of the relationship
