Date an American Guy?

Hello,

first of all: I am from Germany. My English is not good but I use a translator. That means I formulate so that he hopefully translates meaningfully. Phrases he can probably few, so I apologize if something sounds strange. I hope everything is understandable.

Currently I am getting to know a couple of Americans and am unsure how to act. How dating in America is common. On the internet I have read a few things on German sites, but am not sure if this is true.

I have read that Americans take the woman out on the first date and physical contact is to be avoided at all costs. On the second date, you may give a fleeting peck on the cheek as a farewell, but if there is no intimate physical contact on the third date, then the man is not interested.

Is that really so?

Please tell me how a "normal" date in America goes. What I as a woman must pay attention to when first meeting and later. There may simply be differences.

There are no hard and fast rules on this like you've read. If you want to have sex on the first date, you can. It's not that different from Germany.

Just try and keep eye contact beyond your phone. And if you need your phone for translating guys appreciate hugely the like transparency too. Like its better to be up front about like English or Spanish being a secondary language. Can help others like grasp what level of conversation would be easier for you to grasp without having to like teach you too much XD.

Thank you. That's clear from the beginning that German is my native language. But even I was not aware how much habits can differ. For me, everything is interesting. The food, social events like celebrations with family or friends. I would love to experience a real American barbecue. I am so curious. I guess the people I talked to speak slowly when they talk to me

Auf der Seite stand auch, dass Amerikaner _immer_ parallel auch andere Menschen Daten. Dass sich das erst verändert, wenn einer die Frage stellt "Are we exclusive".

Ich habe bereits ein paar Amerikaner über eine der neumodischen Apps kennengelernt. Ich verstehe aber ihr Verhalten nicht. Natürlich, fragen hilft. Aber vielleicht gibt es grundlegende Dinge, die mir helfen grobe Fehler zu vermeiden.
