for this neurosurgeon, no. but you do need to prove that you're intelligent and ambitious. She doesn't get along with lazy idiots because she is the opposite of one.

The biggest issue with you having a good job isn't how we feel about your job, but how you feel about your own perceived value and how it might fool you into thinking that you have a higher value in our eyes when it's neutral to us.
And since we often have bad experiences women in that situation it may actually have a negative evaluation for that reason.

There are men who do care about your job. Certainly a man will be more impressed by a genius than some dumb prostitute who couldn't graduate from high school and has absolutely no career prospects.

From my experience, the more educated and successful the guy, the more he will care about the woman's career and education. Educated men aren't necessarily looking for rich woman but certainly aren't looking for an air head who knows absolutely nothing. Smart men tend to date smart women. Stupid men tend to date stupid women.

But just like we're usually not nearly as picky about breast sizes or hair colour etc as girls tend to think we're also not as picky about intelligence as girls tends to think.
Being in the ballpark of our preference is more then enough.
And this is intelligence, not jobs.
Men may have a preference for women that's smarter then them and still prefer to be the breadwinner and/or have the most prestigious job.

Definitely smarter then me (I'm in the upper end of average according to IQ tests, she was definitely above that)
And she was a student who studied some shared subjects with me when she was here as a exchange student...
Her profession had helped her fund her studies.
Don't judge people by their profession.
Intelligence is attractive, someone that believe they're superior to you, is not.

Successful men prefer to date a woman with a decent job / career over a dumb woman who couldn't graduate from high school, speaks poor English and works at McDonalds. Men who are confident and successful want to date a woman similar to his own caliber. They want someone with substance that they can relate and have quality conversations with. You can't do that with a woman who has low IQ and has NO ACHEIVEMENTS. Achievements proves that someone is capable and smart and has genes worth passing onto their children.

vast majority of prostitutes are dumb. A few exceptions don't make the rule. Stupid people work shitty jobs because they can't get anything better. This is the cold solid truth that people don't like to admit.

they definitely have time. it all depends on how you use your free time when you're off. spend it wisely, you will always have time.
there are some peolpe out there who work 40 hrs a week and still claim they don't have time to go to college. while there are other single moms who are able to work 40 hours a week and attend school, do all their housework and can still manage to pick up their kids from school every night.
and lastly, some parents can afford to hire a babysitter or pay for violin classes or kids summer camp so they can take a break away from the kids... Broke parents are always with their kids because they simply can't afford to take a break.

She is a woman first and the jib second. Unless she gets married and have kids. Men can have it all and Women can too.

A lot of surgeons don't work too many hours a week once they open their own private practice. Its a stereotype that surgeons MUST work terribly long hours.

You don't realize that poor parents are only around their kids a lot because they can't afford to hire someone else to take care of their kids. They can't afford to have a Saturday off away from the kids because they can't afford to pay for summer camp. They can't afford a babysitter. They can't afford to send their kid to karate class so they can have a few hours off.
