So I met this korean guy in Japan, we lived in the same sharehouse for 2 months.
I have reasons to think he likes me : he called me pretty and beautiful many times; he also fed me (like making me taste his ramen with his own chopsticks); showed me the youtube of a french-korean couple (I'm french); said he wants a European girlfriend etc. He also has this weird inferiority complex towards white people which makes me a bit uncomfortable (and doesn't make any sense).
I like him a lot but I couldn't bring myself to tell him in person so I left him a note saying I have a crush on him before coming back to France. And then... nothing. No news. Is that because he is shy/awkward around girls (he's been in the army for 6 years)? Or am I just delusional and he never liked me like that? Could he be drawn aback by the long-distance/language barrier/ cultural difference? I'm wondering whether I should message him first.
PS: we're in different countries now but we will be in the same country in a few months, and he knows that. Also we communicate in Japanese and my Japanese is not that good.
