What do you think is the origin behind why it has always been the mans or guys role to ask the woman out on a date? what is the origin behind that?

i never understood it, never got it and always resented how one-sided this gender dynamic is, i'm sure everything has an origin, in this case, what do you think is the origin behind why it has always been the guys role to make the first move and do the asking out, be the initiator when starting a relationship? I know i'm not the only guy in the world thats always hated how asking someone out has always been on the mans shoulders, and when people say "thats the way it is" it fills me with more anger and rage.

Because thats not really a reason.

one thing i have always hated, and i feel it would be a huge benefit to the world, is that, women never risk having their social ineptness, social awkwardness, be dismissed or labeled as weird, creepy, like men do
