I’ve been talking to this guy who was interested in dating me. We’ve known each other for awhile and things seem fine. He’s a gentleman, he holds the door for me, makes sure that he’s on the outer part of the sidewalk etc, but then things got awkward as time went on.
He asked me a few questions about sex just out of curiosity, and I told him that I never had a boyfriend or ever slept with anyone before. He was shocked and wondered why and I told him I had no luck and I was ugly in hs.
He then tries to softly turn me down cause I’m a virgin. He said we get along fine (and we were) but said he couldn’t be with someone that has no experience.
I feel like it’s a dumb excuse cause if the connection and personality is there then why quickly reject me because of my virginity? Like I get having a personal preference but it also tells me that he probably doesn’t want anything more from me if that’s the main case. I feel embarrassed that I even told him cause he made it sound like it’s a bad thing to still be a virgin in my 20’s.
Maybe next time if a guy ask me about sex should I lie? I know it sounds bad but I my heart shattered after that conversation.
