Picking each other up or meeting there. Normally meeting there but that is largely due to a lot of people being strangers and giving away your home address to a potential stalker is bad.
With you two already knowing each other, if you have a reason or something to do at his place first and don't mind sharing transportation if things go poorly you can start there. Why not?
People need to stop worrying about rules so much. You have a cute reason for it. Doubt he'd care about anything else. Although making him clean his home last minute would be a little mean.
