How are some people so much more successful on dating apps compared to others?

Besides the obvious, good looks etc. 28F, I’m told I’m attractive but I don’t have much success at all. Matches/msgs aren’t the problem it’s just the usual ghosting, fizzling out, they message once & don’t reach out again, looking for sex, just weirdos etc. I knew a guy that had most of his relationships start from the apps & tbh he wasn’t good looking but he was friendly & said at one point there were days when he’d send msgs back to back to women in bulk bc some days were just dry. All the apps are the same in my opinion, if anything the only one I wouldn’t touch at all is tinder. If women have it easier then why’s that not the case for me? Or is that generalizing? Your experiences or thoughts?

What you're experiencing is pretty normal for a woman on dating apps. People on them are usually messed up (largely undateable) or are just playing around.

desperation makes people successful on dating apps. if you are not desperate you will get nowhere so don't bother with them. nothing to do with looks.
