Went on two dates with a girl I met online. After the second date she tells me she just wants to be friends. I tell her sure, and told her to hmu if she wanted to hang out to put the ball in her court, assuming she would not. However, she actually does, and we message regularly and meet up here and there, strictly as friends.

i just reconnected with a girl I knew from college, and we’ve both decided to give dating a shot. AITA for wanting to fade the friendship with the girl I met online? I don’t really to put in the effort for another friendship, especially one with a girl I barely know. Again, I thought she was hitting me with the let’s be friends line to let me down gently, and wouldn’t actually message me again.

Just tell her what you're thinking. I suspect she won't be upset.

No. Too often staying friends with the opposite sex that you were either interested in or had a relationship with isn't healthy. Especially for the next relationship. Do what feels right to you.

Well, most men are not capable of true friendship with a woman. Luckily, though, there are some mature and secure enough to deal with it.

No you aren't. If you can handle it, just stick to being friends with the online girl. Tell her you're seeing someone and you might not be as available.

Also tip: Don't assume everyone knows AITA means "Am I the asshole." Type it out next time!
