Let's assume the person has good intentions. I don't think either is innately wrong. Both could be expressed in a humble & constructive way. But personally, of the two choices, I notice I'm more attracted to people who underrate themselves.

I do like when people are at a place in which they are more balanced... and have a more genuine and healthier view of themselves

more than any number they say or think... to me, it is about how they actually feel about it.. some people are very attractive, but for some reasons they do struggle to see it the way others see them, so they feel less attractive than they are, but some other times they do feel well and are aware that their looks are conventionally attractive or perhaps even more, VERY attractive, and some of these people feel comfortable with that, as they are aware of it, so they are confident about it but do not become arrogant about it, I do like that as well, and I understand how it happens... they just do not give too much value or priority to looks but other things that are more substantial

then, there are some cases in which yes... some people do feel like they are very attractive and they actually are, but for whatever reasons again, they value it highly, they get some ideas about how that makes them "superior" or sometimes, entitled... arrogance? other kinds of insecurities? it does happen sometimes... and I think this is unfortunate and I do not like it much

what I really like and I find attractive, is a healthy and balanced level of genuine confidence in themselves as whole person... and not just a number in looks

Overrating yourself is probably better. If a woman isn't attractive in my eyes I'm not going to be with her anyway. So if she thinks she's hot, I probably already agree, but if she is always beating herself up about being less attractive than she is, then it just comes off as her having low self-esteem.

More attractive to be more modest about yourself but not in a way where to are begging for attention/compliment calling yourself ugly etc.. , but also having someone with confidence is nice but not too cocky where they think they are soo hot and above everyone

True, but just about every woman on youtube is like "i'm a ten" when she's a 6 on a good day, so either people don't understand a bell curve or they have unfounded self-image

@BoopBoopBeep - This question wasn't about the deluded arrogant types. It's about the hopeful types. I wanted people to answer it in regards to those they would be attracted to. And since you're not attracted to arrogant types, just pretend as if the person in this instance doesn't have those characteristics.

People who rate themselves substantially higher than what is reasonable are going to be arrogant and demanding.
