Thank you, at first I didn’t want to be annoying about it hence why I didn’t bother to ask my boyfriend to cut contact with his ex. But it’s been almost 3 years and his ex is STILL contacting him…

Definitely you shouldn't let him back even on talking terms with you. He is ur past.. apart from Stopping him out of respect for ur current relationship, u should also Stop for your own mental health too. He is an ex for a rsn and tbh it doesn't work and in fact it would be worst decision.. leave ur past in past only. And make sure to make ur boyfriend understand the same. Just tell him to block having contact with his ex.
