What are your thoughts on not texting a person for a while?

So I was talking to two guys and then didn't say anything for almost a week. Not because I was disinterested but because I was busy working. When I got time to chill, I made use of it and did things to relax. Both texting me saying " so you not talking to me now" and I was offended. I feel people don't think about if someone is going through something and they just need me time. Or if a person was in a car crush and they couldn't get back to you because they were trying to heal. I feel people shouldn't jump the gun. If a person hadn't said anything, send them a message saying hey or something. If they don't reply, give them a minute. If they seem to truly ignore you, let it go. You just never know.

Yeah, those dudes were totally trippin for getting offended after just a week of not texting back. Like chill, people got lives outside of their phones you know? Sometimes you just need a break from all that.

It sounds like you were just busy with important stuff too, so it's not like you were purposely ignoring them or anything. Some people just don't understand that not everyone's constantly attached to their messages. They shouldn't take it so personal right away.

I feel you, it's annoying when people jump to conclusions instead of just hitting you with a casual "hey, what's up?" to check in. Like you said, how you were supposed to know they wanted to talk if they didn't say anything first?

Next time they trip like that I'd just be like "whoa chill, I had my own stuff going on" and leave it at that. If they don't respect you need your space sometimes then they probably ain't worth stressing over. You do your thing, girl!

On one hand I bet you wouldn't be waiting a week to contact your favorite celebrity or someone you were crazy about. But on the other hand those guys should be too busy on their purpose to even notice you weren't contacting them. Their responses sounded frustrated, desperate and needy.
