We matched on bumble.

He asked for my number right away and we set up a date to meet.

That was a week ago.

Today is the day we were supposed to meet and he never confirmed the time or date...

How should I proceed? I already unmatched him on bumble.

Not sure if I should delete his number?

Aw man that really blows! A full week ago he asked for your number and said he wanted to meet up, and then doesn't even confirm plans the day you were supposed to go out? Not cool of him at all. I'd be pretty bummed out too if I were you. But honestly man, don't even waste another second thinking about this guy. He forfeited any of your time or energy the moment he didn't follow through like he said he would. You don't wanna go chasing after someone who's not even gonna bother making solid plans with you, that's just annoying and will probably only lead to more frustration. I know it feels disappointing since you were looking forward to meeting him, but trust me - you're way better off just deleting and blocking his number so he can't flake on you again down the line. Believe me, there will be other dudes who hit you up who will actually follow through on a date and put in the effort. This guy showed his true colors already by not confirming, so don't waste any more time dwelling on it. You deserve way better than that! Keep your head up and just remember - his flakiness reflects on him, not you. On to bigger and better things!

I does feel scrappy as it seemed like he genuinely wanted to meet!

But for some reason I don't feel any pettiness towards him whatsoever.

My current plan is to wish him well if he tries contacting me again. I don't want to hold on to any negative feelings because of this guy...

Ah yeah, I feel you on not wanting to hold onto negativity - that's a good mentality to have. Like yeah it was flaky of him for sure, but no sense wasting energy being mad about it either.

If he does hit you up again though, I'd still keep it short and simple. Like "Hey, hope all's well. But we both know the meet up fell through last time so I'm not interested in trying to set something up again. Take it easy" - polite but firm closure.

As for blocking, I probably wouldn't yet either unless he starts blowing you up after that. But honestly seems like he wasn't that serious to begin with if he couldn't even lock in plans. I'd bet he won't reach back, so might not even be worth the mental space keeping his number around.

But either way, respect for not letting it get you down luv. You seem pretty chill - you'll find someone else on the same vibe as you in no time. Just focus on chilling with your girls tonight and enjoying your weekend! This dude ain't the one, so forget about him.
