When you are in a long romantic kiss, do you kiss with your eyes open the whole time, or closed?

I always closed my eyes, it's automatic with me.
One night my then boyfriend was kissing me a long make out kiss and I just happened to open my eyes and his were already open. Turns out his eyes are always open when he's kissing someone.
Is that weird?
