For the second question, I just mean like has someone ever told you, "I didn't think I would be your type", or told your of your friends "I like him/her, but I don't know if I would be their type" or they were surprised, when you let em know, you were interested
I don't think I've ever thought this way. Or I'm drawn into someone or not... like types don't exist. I know what I like in general. I like smart, witty, life-experienced, slightly dominant men (the list is much longer, but for the sake of clarity, let's end it here). But I didn't know most of it when I felt the first attraction, right? I will learn with time when getting to know this person better...
From another perspective, my partners had at least 3 of those 4 traits, so the first impression works for me ideally... :D
So I'm not sure which option to choose :D

Yeah my boyfriend literally wouldn't ask me out for months because he thought I wasn't into black guys. I was like, why would you just think I'm racist? Lol. Just by looking at me.
I haven't really met that much people who limit themselves to just their type...
sure, most people I've met do have certain preferences but these are just a preference they can be into more, but they do not limit themselves to only that, and they won't see others that are different as deal breakers...
and I am the same myself... there might be a couple of things I do find VERY attractive, but these do not make everyone else different unattractive at all, I won't limit myself either
attractive is attractive indeed...
